真觉寺主体建筑     寺内建筑在本世纪初已毁，只留下明成化9年（1473年）建成的金刚宝座塔。塔仿造印度佛陀迦耶精舍建造，为内部砖砌，外表甃石的砖石结构。下部是宝座，座前后辟券门，内有石台阶，盘旋而上通向宝座顶部。座顶上有五座小型石塔和一座方室圆顶琉璃罩亭，塔身及金刚宝座上刻有佛像梵文及宗教纹饰。造型虽近似印度建筑，结构和雕刻手法则具有我国传统的民族风格。 　金刚宝座塔这座金刚宝座塔全部用汉白玉建造，周身布满雕刻。由于石里的铁被氧化而呈现出淡淡的橙黄色。五座密檐的方塔中，正中的一座高十三层，四角每座高十一层。中塔的正南有一座两层檐的琉璃罩亭，阶梯的出口就在里面，罩亭顶上有一蟠龙藻井，这是皇家寺院的标志。五座塔的顶上均有一小型覆钵式塔刹，中间大塔的为铜制，其他四座的为石质。 　　在塔建成后，为保护这座金刚宝座塔，塔的表面的石料全部用“血料”保护起来。据说“血料”使用猪血和上腻子和面粉加糯米汁调匀后刷于塔身上，再多次贴麻布刷大漆后完成。现依然可在雕刻的凹陷处见暗红色的痕迹。
